NYT hosts debate over domestic drones

The New York Times invited some policy analysts to debate the issues surrounding the introduction of drones into the domestic airspace. Not a lot new here, but interesting to see this reach the mainstream media.

The only one that makes a cogent point is Jim Harper of the CATO Institute.  Drone's are not the issue.  People who invade other's privacy will do it, with or without drones.  Laws already exist to prevent the crime.  Outlawing drones, is like outlawing cameras.

This is all rather disheartening... Being an avid gun-owner, I've been down and seen this road before... chuckle if you will, but this is all about two things. Money (read that as contracts with gov.org) and control (read that as we are smarter than you, and you cannot be trusted with anything).

This is only going to get worse for the community, they cannot help themselves. The only way through this is to get as many people to build as many sUAV's as possible, and do not stop no matter the consequences.
