Funny how AFA cadets can jump out of planes at 10,000' attitude over AFA but can't fly UAV/MAVs ??
They should be able to fly out to an Aux AF landing strip bout 20 mile east of CS and back to AFA above 500' & below 1000', The antelope out there can out run some cruising UAVs, and the gravel strip is well fenced with a nice little control tower too. CS city should allow a flight corridor. There are risks but, a progressive FAA approval would be great.

Around here (Phoenix, AZ) in the past we have been able to bug the local National Guard to let us use the artillery range. It is a "No Fly" zone, so there is no way you can hit an aircraft over it unless they are over it illegally. Plus, the CO can claim it is for training purposes. I am really surprised the AF has to clear with the FAA over their own strip.
