"Hi Luc I had a simalar problem to you with the APM 2 it was to do with the 6 pins not soldering the connectors properly on the top GPS board (my fault), after I had re-done the connectors all worked fine. BR Andy"

"Yes this is a well known solution to add the filters... also use shielded cables (old mouse cables are good for that) works great and reduce the noise! without it your Sonar might "work" but the accuracy is not as good as it…"

"Hi Gil sorry about the name confusion! The return I was referring to was the + - Ve that would come from the ESC, the only thing that you need to connect is the signal from the APM 2"

"Hi Gerry I am about to do a very simalar thing to you except I was going to use a OPTO ESC which gets around any potential noise issues but answer your question do not connect the retun (if your ESC has a BEC) shown in your diagram"

I was just trying to establish if getting HobbyWing 40A OPTO ESC would be a better solution than with the non isolated ESC's on the market can anyone comment on this please. Obviously I would have a UBEC for the Receiver /Servos / Video TxSee More
