hello Michal, for making ardu pilot to interface with x-plane is visual studio is that much necessary ... isn't possible with arduino-0017 alone for coding the processor ? i have every thing for simulation but not yet started because of this confu...

Here is a video I recorded using Debut screen capture sw: http://www.vimeo.com/7276595 This simulation is just great, I am really impressed. Worth to modify it for the new Ardupilot versions. Considering the accuracy of the X-Plane simulator, it'...

Finally succeeded, I don't know what was wrong. I checked the internal network communication, and suddenly it started. Next time and now any time it's working.

Ok, I compiled the modded code using Visual studio and uploaded to the red Ardupilot board. I had to use AvrISPmkII as my efforts failed using avrdude. The blue Led is blinking, and turns continous if I send GPS data using a third party GPS emula...

Hi, I tried to setup the simulation. Unfortunately it failed at the first step: The arduino compiler sent many error messages. I have the new red ardupilot board, and arduino 0016. It's a great project, hope it will have some follow-up.

Hi Michan ! Does your simulation wporks for ArduPilot 2.3 code also ?

Just in case people are having trouble making these types of changes, the way to send these commands with the SiRFDemo software is to go to the "Action" menu and select "Transmit Serial Message..." That brings up this dialog: Choose the NMEA ra...

Is this project still being worked on? I'm just researching, but I understand ArduPilot doesn't use FMA CoPilot anymore - it does its own internal stabilization reading the XYZ sensors directly. Does the simulator support sending ArduPilot simulat...

Hey Michal,

I just tested my theoretical auto RTL with only one failsafe channel (throttle) using a servo. It works exactly as I envisioned it would on my futaba. You should try it out on your Spektrum and make sure it works. The next part (and hardest part) would be to get it working in conjunction with the three way switch so you can manually choose between navigation and RTL and also have the plane RTL if it loses signal (or continue navigating if it was already in navigation mode). The problem is, with Ardupilot 2.0+ the ESC is no longer attached to the board.

Wow... I see you have already done a lot of work in the modification of the code. We just need the throttle to be passed through when the throttle is not on the failsafe, and the throttle to go to a predefined point when the failsafe is on. We should be able to use the fourth input and the thrid output for the ESC. With all the experience you have, the programming should be trivial.
