Just curious. How much voltage can the battery monitor handle on the shield? Can it also handle up to 15 volts? Thanks.

Jerald, I believe that Ver 2 of the Shield boards are blue. Do they appear green to you? The Ver 1 Shield boards are red like the Ardupilot Atmega 328 boards. Regards, TCIII

Sorry I saw the "new" board here and it was green so I thought you might have made hardware changes that made it superior to the red boards. I saw that version 2 of the shields were green so I assumed it was the same for the regular boards. Sorry…

What do you mean "old red board"? That's the current board. What board are you thinking of?

Thanks a lot Thomas. I forgot to check sparkfun. I am using the atmega 328 board though so it is no problem.

I was connecting the power for the Ardupilot on my aircraft when the power line slipped and hit the shield board and I heard a loud pop. :( Now I'm unable to communicate with the board at all. Whenever I try to download programs to the board I get…

Good news. I double checked on the continuity of all the lines and noticed it was breaking on the power line. The Power pin on the shield was not completely soldered. I redid it and it is outputting the expected values. Thanks for all the help!!

You've definitely got something connected wrong. Check the shield soldering?

Run this code to be sure it's not something else causing it. Such high numbers means you've got a something connected wrong. If everything were disconnected you should see about 511. Jason

My understanding was that you can use 1280 MHZ frequency in the States if you have an amateur radio license. Thanks for the links i might be able to use them.
