Engines are less powerful!

Hello everyone, I flight with APM2 for several months.
I just update 2.8.1

I used a battery 3S and then I discovered that the batteries 4S make a Hexacopter more reactive!

Now I would to try to re-use my 3S batteries ... And my copter hard to take off (I have not added weight!) My engines are less powerful as!

I did a reset of my parameters, and I do not understand why my engine is less powerful!

Someone could help me? Sorry if the question already been asked, but I read quite hard English! I'm French!

What do mean less powerful? Does your copter fly with 3S battery? What are the specs on your copter (motors, ESC, props, weight). Keep in mind that the 3S will lower the amount of throttle it takes to hover. I'm on vacation and don't have my transmitter to look at, but with my DX8 I can hover with 50% throttle and with 4S it takes 1 notch less. I'd guess it would be 10% or 20% less. This is normal since the 4S has higher voltage then the 3S.

Not sure what you mean by less power?  Are flights shortened, does it take 80% throttle to get off the ground? 

How old is your 3S battery?  When you last used it did you leave it uncharged or did you charge it before storage?  How long has it been in storage?  Just to let you know, fully charged battery stored for a long time is bad for the battery.

I would gain power using a 30A esc?

The total weight is 1300 g

My setup is:

Yes when I put the throttle to maximum, the copter rises slowly ..
In fact I stored my battery charged 100% for 1 month, I did not think it would kill them!
I think I'll disassemble my pack 3S to 4S pack manufacture !!

Maybe I'm too used to the 4S pack!!

i think that change the ESC, is not your solution, execpt your ESC 20 heat, it smeans it is undersized... !

How many batteries do you have? Can you borrow a 3S from a friend to see if your battery is bad? Or maybe buy another 3S and see if the battery is bad. I use the 3S 5000mAh, gives good flight times.

What is the weight of your quad?
What motor and esc do you use?

I'm using a battery 3s 30C 2650, should remain in the air for at least 3-5 min but does not.

After charging the battery it can go up to 4-5mts by a single turn and back to the ground. Off a little bit and then he just goes up to 2-3mts and back to the ground.

I'm away for the holidays visiting family in Brazil, so I can't give you details on my Hexcopter. It's a standard kit from uDrones or 3DRobotics. Fulling loaded, plus gimbal and GoPro camera. It weighs just under 2 kgs. With 3S 5000mAh battery I get about 12 minutes flight. Removed the camera use shorter landing legs and I get 15 minutes of flight.

Propellors upside down?

If so, they will function but with less thrust.
